A bit more info would be good, what motor and gearing are you using as well as esc all these things will have an effect on battery life.

I get btween 45mins to over an hour on a 2200mah 3s lipo in my wraith. Its got a tekin rspro/13.5t brushless setup with 56/12 gearing along with 4 wheel steering. I wouldnt want to run anything much bigger due to size/weight

Well I run a sky lipo 5000 hardcase but its really tight in my tray so im looking at a shorty pack but they dont have high mha ratings. The more weight I can get up front the better so not concerned bout that

I run a cms along with every other electrical part is mounted under the hood so space is at a premium in my truck, theres no way i could get a 5000mah bat in my truck and as i said before i dont want the extra weight, everything is mounted to high in the wraith anyway, jamming a huge battery in there isnt helping. I think my batteries are only 30-40c discharge and i havent puffed any but they get a bit warm when im horsing around. Good enough for me

The more I read people r running smaller packs on scalers cuz of the weight of a 5000 is to much and makes ur rig very tippy and even seen people say there getting 3 hourx outta 3000 packs on scale rigs

Still new to crawling but maybe this can help.

NOTE**** Just read you are talking about "new" electronics.. Not sure if you were looking for main power or power for accessories.

I got a new rubicon and moved the batter tray to the front. I used to run ProMatch racing shorties in my Losi 22 at the track.
Thought I would give them a try because I can slide them further forward or back in the battery plate.
They are 4000 mah - 2S - 65c
95.5L, 47.2W, 25H (mm)

Both batteries have been raced about once a week in the Losi 22 for about a year give or take some time. I tossed one in the Rubicon last week and both batteries have lasted right at about 2 hours of non stop crawlin.. In the race buggy they might have lasted 15min (MIGHT) but in the crawler they are holding up great.
The motor is stock (27t) and the gearing was changed to 16x87. 7985 hitec was added.
Not sure if this is what your after, but thought it might help.

the beauty of a smaller pack is with a little bit of velcro you can mount it pretty much anywhere.. a friend of mine puts his 2000mah lipo on the back of his steering servo held on by velcro on his ax10... and he can run just about all day on one pack... i used to run 2s 800mah lipos but they are a little small

I run a 2000mah 2s in my 8 1/2 # wraith with a 55t brushed motor & get about 50 minutes of runtime before the cutoff.
Its pretty small.
100 g weight
68mm x 45mm x 16mm dimensions.
I had a 4500 2s stickpack sized hardcase in it for a while & I don't feel any need for bigger than this.

Just main power I have some skylipo 5000 and with the 35t 87/18 gearing they don't last for more then a hour. But I did short them out by accident when soldering new deans plugs on so maybe they r just bad they balance chatge just fine but don't last that long.
