Default Batteries/weight

Hello everyone..new to the site...I just bought a SCX10 Honcho RTR and not sure if I should use a high mah battery that weighs more or one with less mah that weighs less..Im aware more will give me more runtime but more concerned about if weight is an issue or not..Id like to try packs between 4000 and 5000Mah if its not too much?..Thank you for your advice.

If it is a honcho the battery is in the front which in turn helps the truck able to climb better. You could just go straight to lipo and get a high mah and weight is still not as much as say a 3000mah nimh battery.

Weight can be an issue depending on your setup. Seems the smaller packs are preferred for not only weight issues but also real estate.

Yes a lipo is what I had in mind..Not sure though to run a 3000mah or if a 5000mah was ok to use...I haven't even run the truck at all yet..Im just making sure what to spend my money on before I do..whatever battery I decide I plan to buy 3 or 4 of them..so want to be sure..Thanks for the reply

My plans are to pretty much run the truck stock..I may upgrade the servo and upgrade to the higher clearance links but that's about it..Do you think a 5000mah 2s lipo is too much?..Thanks for the reply

Nah, I run a 2s5000mah30c on my kids rig. Placed across the chassis rails just in front of the trans the cog isn't too bad either.

I run 350mah on my comp stuff, 1000mah for my class 1, and 2200mah in my wraith. All 3s.
