| 4WS Comp crawler kit recommendations?
Hi everyone, After having a very good time with my Traxxas Summit BL for some time now, I would very much like to built myself a real rock crawler. I am thinking of a MOA comp crawler-class of car, but I find it very hard to find the kit and parts need to accomplish what I want. This is what I am looking for: - a kit that supports four wheel steering (or can easily be converted to) - dual esc-setup. I want to be able to control the breaking of the rear wheels whenever necessary. - a decent, suitable radio and receiver for this purpose. I guess a 4 channel radio is what I am looking for. I've found a few alternatives, like the Frankenstein 1/8 Super Bully ARTR, the Bully 2.2 MOA comp crawler kit and enRoute Berg 2.2 V3. Problem is, I can't find them anywhere! I just find them discontinued or sold out most places. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could give me a hint to where this piece kind of machinery can be purchased - the availability of these things up in my corner of the world (Norway) isn't exactly great. |

It seems a lot of moa axles are getting discontinued. You can find them in the classified section here pretty often but it would have to be somebody willing to ship to you.

I cannot think of a kit that is currently being produced & available (that fits your criteria.) Pick some axles & build. |

| Re: 4WS Comp crawler kit recommendations? Thanks, Dostradamas, but I still need somewhere to get a suitable chassis (and whatever other parts I may need to complete the build). I guess there would be quite a few guys out there running similar types of trucks - where do you all start when you want to get your fingers in a truck like this? |

I have a chaotic switch smash chassis with links. Pm if interested, 2 front bully 2 axles and knuckle weights ( http://store.rc4wd.com/Bully-2-Compe...le_p_3325.html ), http://holmeshobbies.com/home.php?cat=2 sells 2 brmini already sandwiched together and they carry castle bec 10 amp 2 servo's 300 oz torque or higher Adjustable offset wheels like these http://www.classicutcustoms.com/wheels.html. Or the ecd (evil crawler designs ) wheels in the vendors section futaba 4pk, might be able to use a futaba 3pmx but not sure if you can still dig and have 4ws 2 servo splitters and some creative wiring Slap some tires on that bad boy and go have some awesomeness! This sounds more like a super build to me And if that's the case I'd suggest Dlux for chassis, links and axles for a simpler combo The info is on Rccrawler for setting up most of this Last edited by Whiplashdjs; 05-16-2014 at 03:38 AM. |
