Default Castle BEC question?

Im running the sidewinder 3 combo in a twin hammers and love it.
the esc has a 10 amp bec on it, but the stock spectrum receiver only has one port available the bind plug. The third channel is for the shift servo.
Can I plug the bec into the bind port? Or is there another way? I do plan on getting a much stronger servo . Any advice would be Appreciated!

Depending on if you get a high voltage servo you may want to power the servo direct from the BEC, otherwise the bi d plug us fine for now.

If you search for bec or servo wiring diagram on here it should pull up harleys diagram on how to directly wire your servo to the bec with a y harness. I use this method on all my rigs and haven't had a problem with brown outs since.

Very nice. Thank you! I like the idea of the Y harness.

This is the receiver bypass I use for an easy way to directly power a high voltage servo (instead of sending power to the receiver).
CreationFab - Plugs Other Receiver Bypass Adapter

A high voltage servo may accept power at 7.4 volts while your receiver is often only rated at 6 volts, this is when I would use this type of adapter. If your servo can't handle any more voltage than your receiver, using the bind port on your receiver should work fine.

Just an FYI spectrum ones are good to 9.6 so if you got a hv servo you could put 7.4 to the reciever
