| turnigy trackstar question
Just got a new esc, the trackstar 1/10th, 70a, waterproof esc. Anybody have any experience with them? I ran two batterys thru it then the truck died. NO nothing. seems the esc is dead. |

That ESC hasn't been around for long, so there's not much experience. The only person posting a review at HobbyKing this far had his blow up just turning it on... What truck, motor, battery and gearing do you use? Did you run it in water? Last edited by Olle P; 06-09-2014 at 12:34 AM. |

It's a wraith I bought used. I had it couple of days and broke the transmission out put shaft(AX2). Had a vanguard 2900kv in it and man was it fast. Took it all apart and then Had a house fire and was a able to save the chassis and wheels . Bought a trackstar 13.5t sensored brushless 3040kv, Trackstar 1/10 70a waterproof ESC, A 2spd AX2 to replace what was lost. Gforce 2200mah 3cell 40c battery. And a15/60 gear set up Got it all back together last Friday. Ran two battery's through it then the ESC just quit. This motor set up isn't as fast as it was before but it will work better in the rocks. Last edited by indyrubi; 06-09-2014 at 05:30 PM. |

Ibe been running the 150 track star for about 1.5 years and love it. I run 2 to 6th Batts with 1/8 scale powered. My first thought or question would be what was gearing and how much heat was being produced before your track star burned up. |

It was first thing in the morning and had just turned the rig on. Ran it maybe 50yrds in grassy field out and back to my position. I stopped it next to me and said something to a friend and then hit the gas and nothing happened. Hadn't even been on for more than 3min tops

If it has an on off switch I'd cut it and splice the wires to get here to rule the switch out. I'd also check for loose connections from the battery to the esc. Also check the esc connection on the reciever. You have got a bad one but chances are good it could be something else. |

I just bought the 60amp version a month ago and have had nothing but problems with it and a trackstar motor. Hobbyking has the worst cs I've ever experienced. Still waiting on a response about a return. That being said though, if you don't want to send the esc back for warranty, check the connections to the motor. I noticed on mine that the bullet plugs are cheap and seem loose. If I move the motor wires where they connect to the esc it starts to work again. I am going to put new one's one mine since I'm tired of waiting for a response from Hobbyking. Does it start to work again at all? Have you tried resetting ALL the functions? Check the battery connection as well.
