|  New to RC: Beginner Wraith Spawn Build
Hello all. I just got into the RC World a few weeks ago and will admit I'm addicted. First, I purchased my 5 year old son, (who would watch RC Adventures videos on YouTube) constantly, the Axial SCX10 Power Wagon. After we got it out, I knew I had to have one. Here we are. Brand new Wraith Spawn. Drove it stock for a week and knew instantly how much superior it is the Power Wagon. I will be spending $100-200 a month the next few months on upgrades and will post them here. Keep in mind, I'm a complete noob. I'll be asking for advice along the way and hope you can help. Here is what has been upgraded: 1. Gmade Zero shocks 2. Vanquish wheel hubs 3. Battery and body pin relocation 4. Axial aluminum servo arm 5. Vanquish Universal Shafts 6. I put the same exact shocks on my poison spider wraith and it was a great improvement. Rig weighs around 7.25 pounds Sent from the clouds |

wow looks good! what size are those vanquish wheel hubs? they offer some many different sizes. not sure what size to get

Those hubs wider than stock? My tires rub my spawns body yours looks like it's past body?

Latest update. Broke the shaft in my axle. Went ahead and got the Vanquish universal shafts. Also, ordered a stainless screw replacement set so I can start replacing these stock screws. Looks like it's coming along great! My dad started me when I was that young as well. 20 years later, I'm 25 now and this hobby is still something we do together!

Great that you are involving your kids early, give them something to do outside. Axial makes great stuff, would be nice if it was a little tougher so as to preclude the need for all the after market stuff. But then I guess you wouldnt have the excuse for all of the after market stuff, and what fun would that be? Good looking rig! |
