Default using the Hobby King PGM card, am i dumb?

i just cant understand the jumpers. with each choice there is an extra pin. does the exposed(non connected pin) line up with what you want programmed?

i might be over thinking this, but need some help.

fyi i am programming a HK 120A esc that was in a used Yeti XL i bought off CL.

My guess would be you put the jumper on what you want programmed, and I came to that conclusion by looking at the side where there is multiple pins but only one jumper. For instance the side with the battery type has multiple pins (Nimh,Lipo, etc) I would think for lipo you would put the jumper over the lipo pin and all the others would be exposed. I can see what you mean where there are only two pins and it could be confusing. I could be totally off though.

Cheers,
Wade

And my guess for the other questions

Start-----How fast it accelerates
Brake------ either it coasts to a stop or brakes
Protect type-- either it just stops the rig or slows it down
Batt protect-- is like a low voltage cut off
Timing----that I have no clue, maybe motor timing somehow

Yes, read the setting as the gap between the pins.

The settings chosen on the picture:
Battery: LiPo
Start: Start ACC
Brake: On
Timing: Auto
Rotation: Normal
Battery protect: 3.0V
Protect type: Reduce
