Default My 1st build Gelande Cruiser

Hello everyone, this is my first post and I recently completed my first build. I have a 79 Land Cruiser and I was just looking for a simple plastic model to build, but then soon came across the Gelande FJ40 crawler and knew I had to try and build a replica as close as I could to my actual. I must say I'm simply blown away by the work some of you guys do and I tried my best to replicate some of that in my build. Anyways....I've attached some pics of my build and the inspiration that led me to it.

Welcome! That's a great first build. Now you need to get it out and run it...

Dude that's looking really good! Props for the attention to detail. Any plans on getting it dirty on a trail or something? Would be insane to see it out in the wild.

Nice job sir! Must be easy when you've got the real thing sitting in the driveway. I see you converted to leafs, looks very clean. Really dig that rear bumper!

That turned out great. What shocks are you running? Do you have any other details about the build?

Thanx, those are rc4wd 90 mm shocks on the front and rear. It's a pretty stiff ride with the leafs and I keep adjusting the oil in the shocks.

Thanx! I picked up that rear bumper off of ebay....I think cchand makes it. Since my cruiser is a 79 I was pretty stoked to find a matching rear bumper for it.

The Cruiser is a heavy truck. Especially in the rear. How do you like the stock foams in the Gladiators?
