Need help with event choices

So I'm new as you can tell! I really want to go to some events to drive my babies and learn from you guys and gals.
Well there are two events I really want to go to on the same day. Oct 10th one is in arkan slaw and the other in okra homa. The recon g6 is well you know more trail and the comp in Disney is well a comp. I've never done either!!
For those of you who have done both , where is the most bang for my buck going to come from? Fun\learning.
Any input is greatly appreciated. In advance thank you all who reply!!

I would always suggest a Recon G6 event for a new guy. Family friendly, no pressure, and lots of folks to help you out.

Depends on if you have a comp rig or a scaler. If you have a scaler then I would suggest a G6 for starters as well. You get to drive your truck non stop for hours and they are super fun. If you have a comp rig then there is no better way then to get in there and like Nike says " just do it". Either way you will find people to help you out and give you pointers.

This event has been held on the same weekend for years, and it's put on by KCRC! Bunch of great guy's having FUN with their toys! No pressure and nobody gets to serious about competing. And they'll be tripping over each other to help a newbie. We're pretty open when it comes to rules also. Having fun is the only one enforced...

I'd also recommend the Recon G6 if you have scalers...hard to beat playing with your toy truck for hours with a bunch of like minded people.

I was a bit bummed to see that the events are on the same day. They both look like fun. I'm pretty sure we are going to the G6. Its an excuse to take a few days off and drag my RZR up there and ride around in Mena too.

There are a couple other events going on pretty soon as well. A scale comp in Gilmer, TX on the 12th. I don't think I'm going to make that one, but there is a slight chance that I will.
