| 20t motor, which one to buy? I am interested in getting a 20T 540 Crawler Brushed Motor and I wanted some input on it. Has anyone used this motor before? Was it any good? What are other 20T motors out there that are good at a great price? PS: I am installing it on a Everest 10 redcat. thanks |

If you are talking about the RC4WD Crawler motor it's $10 so if it sucks it isn't like you spent $100. I know nothing about this motor but personally I wouldn't expect a ten dollar motor to impress me much.

Axial has a 20T motor. It's again an inexpensive one, my bro-in-law is running one in his deadbolt. So far so good.

Holmes just came out with a new series of sealed can brushed motors for a low price. They will be better than the other sealed can motors on the market. Holmes Hobbies LLC 27 turn is probably more where you want to be for general crawling/trailing on 2s. |

I'd like to recommend a Holmes 20T but the only one I see is a CrawlMaster which is different to conventional brushed motors, it'll be super smooth but about the same speed as a regular 35T, not familiar with the Everest so no idea on gearbox ratio, if it's like an Axial I'm with svt923, a 27T will be a good crawler motor. Dunno where I saw it but the best general motor advice I saw went like this, Get the best you can afford in a re-buildable style that can be serviced/ brushes & springs replaced. Holmes TorqueMaster That is unless you want to play in water & mud. Clean fresh creek water will not bother a brushed motor too much (assuming the rest of your electrics are water proof). Mud & sand will kill the brushed very fast, if you’re planning on playing in that get cheap disposable motors. Holmes TrailMaster Last edited by altd896; 10-16-2015 at 10:50 AM. |

20T Axial is cheap, and you should be able to find it anywhere.
