| miniature M1.6 hex bolt holes
I have some miniature M1.6 hex nuts and bolts on the way to bolt down some diamond plate. what size hole do i need to drill to prep the diamond plate for the bolts?

The size designation, in this case 1.6mm, is the major diameter of the threads so you'll need to drill 1.6mm or ~1/16" holes.

Do you want the bolt to go through the hole, or thread into the hole?
