Just to add to this thread I ended up buying a HH Puller Pro 2700kv standard Waterproof motor and a Castle Mamba X ESC. I'm hoping for buy once and be done.

Nope building new SCX10-II.
First Crawler ever. First RC car in 38 years. Later RC car was a Tamya Hummer kit 38+ years ago. Been flying planes, Helicopters and now multirotors but I decided I wanted a couple cars.
Building this crawler and getting a Losi SCT next month.

Cant go wrong with hh pro 2700kv with mamba x which is my favourite set out of a few Ive been testing/experiencing what suits my taste such as roc 412 both 540 n 550hd, revolver powered with rx8 as well. For brushed its gotta be 45t tekin hd with hw1080 as Ive had hh crawlmaster exp, torque master pro, tekin pro as well. Just for my taste. Hav yet to come across fxr compared to 1080?
