all the building is done except the tires. in the instruction book it shows the esc and rx mounted upside down on the plate under the battery. i will be mounting a 8 cell split basttery pack on top of the aqxils. is there a better way / place to mount the rx and esc than up side down on the battery plate? some pic would work wonders thx Dirby |

It would help if we knew what type of chassis/truck you are working on.I assume that it is an Axial. If you are mounting the battery on the axle, mount the electronics on top of the battery plate.Or you could make some mounts to set them lower in the chassis,or possibly on the rear axle.IMO the lower the better. | This was good advice right here. Just experiment. Since you're mounting the battery on the front axle, just put the receiver and speedo on the top plate. If it's performance isn't acceptable to you, then put it under the plate instead and see if that make a difference. It won't be big difference because the receiver and speed control don't weigh much and if you're not competing, it shouldn't really matter. Either way, you learn faster from actually doing rather than sifting through posts on a forum. You got burned in that other thread because, as I read it, you LOST a shock piston and then started complaining that Axial didn't include enough parts to complete the truck. |

There is a hole on the axial top plate to mount the switch through, check out the manual if you cant find it. The BEC can be mounted anywhere you have room, but preferably far away from the RX.

i hooked all the wires up with the bec the bec light came on but nothing else happend. the red light on the rx came on for a split second than it stoped burning. i dc the bec and hooked it all up again and to my surprize it all worked the tx and rx binded. it had right and left steeruing and the throttle worked when i gave it throttle. but than i discovered the pinion that i stripped earlier came loose and the gears wern't moveing. probably going to have to wait for fhd to get me a new pinion. oh well it's a start anyway. wonder why the bec didn't work?
