This is my son's 4-TEC
19t modified motor
Traxxas ESC
Drift tires
Bodies - 360 Modena ('65 Stang & Mercalago waiting to be painted)

My XXX-S (I'm more a muscle car guy than a ricer...)
14t Double
IRP ESC
Graphite everything with red anodized aluminum hardware and all the out of production red anodized Losi offered replacement parts I could find...
Wheels & Tires - HPI Vintage (still drifts like CRAZY!!)
Bodies - '65 Stang, '68 Camaro (trying to get my '70 AAR Blown Hemi 'Cuda body painted as well as a WRX-STI body)

Although NOT a Drifter, with the Cobalt Brushless, Mamba 25 and aluminum everything on a stretched custom aluminum frame, this thing slides all over any surface when pushed!

Well, it took longer than planned (does'nt it always) but here's the TA03F David Jun Pro Edition I scored on Ebay a couple weeks ago.
I converted my RS4 Pro into a Trans-Am car, and put the 19t 11.1 volt LiPo set up in this chassis. Even having to hand-fabricate a belt tensioner out of a servo mount, 2 bearings, and some msc. hardware, I had it running in a couple hours:

As they say, nothings easy. The Silvia body and RS4 are 200mm wide, this TA03F is 190mm. Rather than attempt to widen the TA03F, I decided to paint a new lid, an HPI Nissan 350Z:

Model Master Blue Pearl, Model Master Go Mango, Testors gold.
Trying to put an HPI body on a Tamiya chassis - the wheelbase is a tad off. Not too terrible though...

And the obligatory exhaust pipes and license plate...

I wanted to give drifting a try...

...so I dug up some old school stuff and put one together.

- Original HPI RS4 touring car set up 200mm wide.
- Protoform Ford Focus RS body. (had a street ZX3 back then that was the same color)
- Volk TE-37s
- HPI T-Drifts
- Trinity 27 Turn motor
- Tekin Speedstar ESC
- Futaba Magnum Jr. Radio gear.

I have tweaked the setup some and locked the rear diff in it. I am waiting on a one-way pulley for the front that may get it just about right. It is harder than it looks, but big fun. I will probably do an S15 body for it with some pimpy paint and the light show.
