I was wondering if anyone out there has converted a tmaxx to electric while keeping the original tranny. I looked at teh specs, and first gear has a little more gearing than the emaxx tranny, but second has less. I was thinking that I might be able to take out the clutches (except the slipper) on the tranny and then just make a custom motor mount. I was wondering if anyone has tried this, or if it is even possible

If you can work out an adapter to mount the electric motor in the truck and mount the pinion to it.

I was going to do the same thing untill I found an old Emaxx trans and motor plate for $10. Much easier and cheap as well.
