i think im way ahead of that baja bug Pat well made some more progress picked up these aluminum threaded adjustable coilovers. there about 3/8" longer than the stock savage shocks that were on it. put overload springs on the shafts of the two longer ones(rears). and went with springs on all 4 shocks this time. took me awhile but i got them installed. the extra length added nearly an 1" more down travel. i also swaped out the hammer tires for flatirons for a more true to scale tread pattern. there sizes were identical. also removed the orange rock crawler beadlock rings, for some thinner gunmetal ones. i debated on going with black wheels, but stuck with the chrome. also swaped out the black stampede wheels seen above for some old chrome revolvers i had to better match the wheels. now i just need to find a pair of flatirons cheap to complete the spares. maybe even a pair of matching wheels too. next up is the front end. the current traxxas shocks are 3.8" ive got to dig around to find some 4" that should give me nearly 1/2" more down travel and id be really happy with travel all the way around. maybe even a new set of A-arms to replace the RPMs. thats all for now |

How exactly did you get what looked to be a Ford to look like a Chevy with what looks like no body work? This somehow confuses and intrigues, and also inspires an emotion which I can't quite name.... mostly confusion though. well now that I've wasted your time...... nice paint job. |

I figured that after I posted..... only suggestion I have is getting that Chrome bar across the front between the upper and lower headlight stickers. but other that it does look great.

yeah i was going to but unfortunatly most of the grill area is cut out for the lights. hard to see but you can kind of see it in the first and fourth pics. so the bar would only be on the outsides and not continue across the center. i thought the two mini outer bars would look worse than none at all. so i left it off.
