Default Brushless revo finally done..for now.

Started a new thread since the old one was full of a bunch of still waiting, this and that...Well after awile of waiting on parts to get here from different sources i finally have it put together. Just need to get a nice steel pinion instead of this junky aluminum one and some nicer battery connectors to top it off. And a little suspension tuning. Other than that its awesome. Love seeing such a big, heavy truck moving as fast as this does. Running it on 4s, with the punch controll turned down 50% on the mamba monster it will wheelie for days, put the paddles on and its months. Debating on getting some sway bars. Ill get better pics and a video when my extra spurs and pinions show up.

Do you run on track only? I mainly run on the beach and fields, street, Some jumping but not anything big, nothing my 1/10 couldn't handle.

Mine is treated more like an anvil, and when I do use it, it gets beaten, bashed, and occasonally flown. Only racing I've done with it has been at a friend's house with a bunch of 2wd Slashes and it sees enough snow to make leaving it brushed make sense. I have thought about getting the center diff too (for the E-Revo and my Ralliestang) but don't know how well it would work in snow, but have heard it makes a huge improvement in handling in both sizes.

Hmm, do you have the tchno sways or the traxxas? Iv heard both are good. New pics at the top also. And i hear you on the snow, i'm from indianapolis and my wife is from gary. Ive got 2.5 more snowless years here in PR before i transfer. And on the center diff, if you get it prepare to get some very VERY thick oil to run in it. Like 500k or over. Otherwise your front tires will ballon so much it will be rediculous. BUt since your running brushed it might not be that bad, are you still using the titans? I had the kershaw revovler kit on this before and it was pretty fast.

Got the Traxxas on mine, but there will be a problem if you're running the Golden Horizon shock mounts. They don't have the material to locate the front bar properly and it will shift around. You will also have to sand the black-oxide like coating off the larger rear bar to get it into the rod ends if they haven't fixed that problem since '08. I ditched those POS 550 Titans back as soon as I could get my hands on one of the 775 Titans and found it to be a massive improvement in all around useability of the truck. I'm already using OFNA Diff Lock up front and figured doing the same with that center diff too. This year we've hardly gotten any snow untill last thursday when we got hit with a few inches. Had planned on snow racing with some friends (the ones with Slashes............now all VXL equipped) , but the truck's EVX-2 had other ideas and released some smoke so I just marshalled, froze, and talked some smack

Top end seems about the same as with the 550's, but the torque and running temps improved immensely.

Here's a video of it pulling a wagon around the yard, geared 12/68 with 7 cells.

and a video of it set up for pavement, it's not BL fast, but works nicely.

Go for it, these trucks are great. And the only thing Ive broke is blowing the center out of a cheap rim.

The ESC was waiting for me when I got home from work and the gym tonight! Leads for the batteries and motor(s) appear to be longer than the O.E.M. ESC too

Yea, the battery wires on the "Service Package" ESC are about 3 times as long as what the factory one had and the motor leads were maybe half again longer than factory. I prefer them longer, battery leads were too short for my liking.

Pretty sure I fried the 775 tonight, but the truck was beating up on a friends Slash with a VXL ESC, Tekin 6.5t 5mm motor, and 23/86 gearing
Another friend of his shot some video of the two going at it and I'll post those up when he get's them on Youtube.
