| My Daughter's "PunchBuggy"
My oldest daughter has been showing an interest in R/C's lately, wanting to drive mine. The problem was, with the exception of the crawlers, all my other stuff was either Nitro powered or Brushless, so it was waaaay too fast for her. So a while back I picked up this HPI Blitz roller off CL. Slightly used, slightly abused, I'm going to rejuvenate it and do it up for her 7th Birthday next week. (no minute like last minute, right?) Got a Pro-Line Baja Bug body, some new White Blitz wheels and Duratrax Lockup SC tires. (Don't blame me, that's what she wanted... she liked the blue lettering on the Lockups ) Put in a Traxxas XL-5/Titan 12 turn combo, which will be set on trainer mode at first. Got it together and running last night, now I need to blow apart the thing and clean it all up, rebuild the shocks, and then this weekend is going to be paint paint paint paint. Black with white/Pink and Chrome flames, and a big skull and crossbones on the roof, then a white/hotpink/Pearl raspberry stripe up across the roof and down both quarter panels... Trust me, it's going to look better than it sounds... |

Looks good. My Blitz needs a new body to clear the 2.2 stadium truck tires and wheels. Those fenders look like they have plenty of room. Which version of the body is that? |
