Pulled the trigger on a Vintage 1985 Tamiya Wild One that still has the mechanical speed control it will go along nicely with my 1983 Tamiya Subaru Brat,

Update I made a new a new roof for my Wild One going to use some black button head screws and I ordered the hood panel, and the driver and the interior from a FAV and thinking of using the Wild One drivers head or a Wild Willy head on the FAV driver body and keep it a Wild One but just more detail and different

I need too buy locally or order online some 3mm x 40mm cap screw or button heads too mount the transmission case into the chassis and finish the build

Found another score its Tamiya SRB chassis and going too build a upgraded Sand Scorcher, have the bug body set and some Frog tires and wheels

Update while I waiting for parts too come in I made a new bumper mount out of a piece of the old chassis and have not used Fiber Glass board in years, I think it came out pretty good

The next side project is I'm using a Rough Rider steering servo saver which puts the steering servo and linkage on the right side of the chassis instead of the stock servo beaning inside the box and using linkage too the saver it puts the linkage on the left side of the chassis in the stock form, I found some servo mounts in my parts stash

Another side project is the front body post needs drilled and tapped for 3mm and a 3mm socket cap screw needs holes drilled in the head for a body clip since the one I got for the Sand Scorcher is broke where the clip goes

That's a rough one. I'm glad to see you save it!

Default Vintage R/C cars

Just saw this on YT. This is why old Tamiya buggies are legend. I feel like taking mine down to a sandy spot to have some fun now.

I found a hell of a deal on a NIB 2010 Sand Scorcher Kit with bearings and esc and motor, so one of Scorchers is going to be a Mint 400 Racer and the other one is going to be a Baja 500 Racer cause I ordered some decals from MCI Racing.CA, now I need too figure out what colors would make the number plates and decals pop or maybe matching paint schemes cause I tried too look online at Vintage VW Racers for the Mint 400 and Baja 500 paints schemes but not having much luck

Fitted a motor and some electronics to my OG Hornet at last. This is a really slow restoration. Also worked on the wheels. They were beaten up bad but should be usable after some clear coat. Hat to put a lot of material back on the clamp rings. They were chewed out badly.
