My son and I have been getting into airplanes as well lately. Looking for any good advice on forums. We fly indoor micros, have a couple foam 40" P51s for the winter. Looking at building some homemade foamies for 3D flying in the 24-26" range. Keeping everything electric. Any input would be great, thanks!

Rcgroups is the best. Wattflyer and flyinggiants are both good too. I highly recommended leadfeather's EPP yak for your 3d foamy build. You can find the huge thread with plans in the scratch built section of rcgroups.

Check out the Crack Yak Mini from Twistedhobbies.com It's 24" so just the size you're looking for... You can get all the electronics from them too except Tx/rx.... Crack Yak Mini |

Thanks! I was looking at the Crack Yak mini, seems like a legit flyer. We have a club at the boys' school, so flying in a school gym mostly.
