Default Street Rod 57 Chevy Pickup

Obviously I cannot make up my mind...
I think this is the last incarnation of my extreme chassis...
Total parts bin truck...
I bought a Parma 57 Chevy pickup to use as a basher for my TTO1, as my "nice" body was getting thrashed.
It didn't fit perfectly, and if it doesn't fit right, I just cannot dig it.
So the birth of the CCO1 street rod.
Stock lower links, custom upper y link, 70 mm Cliff climber shocks rear, gold AE buggy shocks up front, custom shock mount (front), and a chopped and extended chassis. Hpi is providing rims and tires, (classics). Pactra candy blue backed by silver for paint..

I was pondering a street build recently. I even wondered what it would do on slicks and racing carpet. Now I'm thinking I should do a king of hammers thing. Maybe a ridiculous 2.2 build.

This is damned cool, btw.

One of the nicest bodies I've ever had in my hands and seen the price as low as $15

And panhard bar, and mounts.

And made some aluminum chassis rails.

Just received my '57 Chevy pickup body this week.
I like where this is heading, so I'll be watching this build.

Thank you,
I drilled out the original plastic and fitted some Tamiya Hilux light buckets. Glued in with shoogoo.

Very cool build. Next time you have the body off snap a picture. Curious as to how you built it up.

Thanks,
the body is not currently mounted, bedsides are just resting on the aluminum sides, and cab on the aluminum angle.

Bolt in the big block...

I picked up some tires for some other rims I have...

These will be the runners, while the vintage's will be my "show" rims.

That turned out really nice. From F350 to this is pretty cool. Any pictures of the bed area?

My favorite rc body ever. I've got one for my CPE Predator Clod build, and a spare that's gonna end up on something scratch built.
