Is that a rwd drift car? I just bought an eagle racing tt02 that should be here in the next few weeks which is rwd. Pretty psyched.

Oh don't you worry I'll be running it with no hood quite often. That's the joy of the quick remove hood.

Nope, awd counter steer. I want to try rwd drifting. I may pick up another car for that.

I heard that its best to go from awd to rwd right away. It's mostly the same concept. Huck it out there and be ready to work it. I think rwd drifting is going to be a ton of fun. I can't wait until it comes in the mail. Going to be running a castle 4600kv setup which is almost equivalent to an 8.5t. Should be good enough.

Well, got some stuff done today. Not too much at all though. The hood took a TON of time.

Well first, I didn't like the ride height of the truck. Mainly, the fact that I could see the chassis from under the rocker panels. So I decided to raise the wheel openings about 3/8 of an inch.
Before.

After.

And theeeeeen that raised another problem. Now the motor and turbo stuck another 3/8 of an inch out of the hood. So I was faced with another problem. Either run no hood, which is cool, or chop the hood up majorly to clearance it. The way I look at it, If there's an opportunity to cut stuff, do it. So I did.

Honest opinions on the hood please. Not sure how I feel on the hood... Mainly because cowl induction hoods are a Chevy thing... Ewwwww..

Don't you worry. Exhaust is planned. Not sure if I can do much of a strut bar motor is about .010" from the hood as it is haha... Also going to plumb the turbo in with an intercooler as well.

Well got some work done tonight. Progress!

First off. Made a firewall. Quick and easy. It's a ls swapped toyota truck. So it has a shaved and wire tucked firewall. Hah!

Then I decided to brace the back of it, because the body mounts might be integrated into it, although I'm not sure.

And thennnnn... I found out my header that I flipped was not strong enough. It snapped off. Oh well. So I made some studs.
Drilled out the heads.

Then the header.

Then made some little studs.

Then put them in the header.

Then slid the studs into the head. That's it.

Started working on the exhaust idea I had too but you guys can't see that until it's done!

Not a whole lot done tonight other than shortening the bed to fit the wheelbase. Very self explanatory so here's the pictures.

And a few booty pics.

I got it in a corvette engine pack. Came with a Fuelie 327, a 427 tri-power, and the LS1 I used. Haven't seen a vortec.

Hey guys. Been a while. Been working on my real drift truck lol... But it's gotten cold all of a sudden so I pulled out the truck today. Got some primer on the fenders, then sanded, more updates soon. Sorry about that guys!
