kinda like this?
Yes, I think that is how it would sit...if it does it'll look great! My parts arrived today from Horizon and I did the conversion this evening. Took a little over an hour taking my time. This thing is even better than my Micro-T was!!! Wiring and all fits under the body better and if you crash it there is more room for the body to flex and move around absorbing the impact without damaging the electronics underneath. Plus it just looks awesome now! I got the blue body and chrome (not the black chrome) wheels.

EDIT: The battery bay is almost twice the size of the Micro-T...there's room for a serious mah lipo in there!!! You could fit seven nimh cells in there...but lipo is the way to go for these micros!

ANybody making a high mah lipo that'll fit the Micro-DT?

My Micro-T handles great and these handle even better! Very stable all around and well balanced, less twitchy than the T.

Mine's got more clearance then stock, so it could do ok outside. But, indoors is where they work best.

Default Got It!

Got my Losi Micro DT today. Pretty cool little rig people, need to get that brushless set-up, but fun and fast for the size. The dog doesn't care for it though.

That's sweet Bender, got any body off pics? What all did you do to yours besides lower the body?

Stewco, cool area but you didn't really need the mats. Is that your basement?

I hacked/slammed the body, ditched the bumpers, flipped the wheels to widen the stance, cut the front skid and replaced the front shocks with the longer rear shocks to give it a small lift, custom front springs, added a little fuel line to the rear shocks for preloading, shocks also have heavy duty grease in them for dampening (needs to be refreshed), ditched the plastic reciever/esc case, added bearings, drilled out chassis, I made new steering tierods out of thicker lexan, replaced stock antenna with softer/more durable wire, added fuel line to the base of new antenna for support, taped reciever crystal in so it doesn't fall out, velcro body mounts, etc. Rubbaneck and Kris are to blame.

Here's a couple more pics.....

I have had no problems with mine and I have made 20+ runs on this little bugger. It handles flying thru the air very well I might add. I constructed a bank turn that is at a 45 degree angle and is 5 foot wide. I can hit a launch ramp I made and sail this thing predictably across the living room and land on the bank turn. I cant wait to get my brushless set up in. I did hear that you can use the lipo from the Lama micro helicopter on these things.

these things are a blast. set up a little track in the garage and have ran quite a few packs thru it, finaly broke one of the steerinig links but no biggie...

I also orderd a pack from cheapbatterypacks.com it's a 7.4v Nimh 160mah that will fit in the stock spot. I did'nt want to get the lipo and wait for the long charges between runs. besides $15 is way better than 50 (lipo and charger)....
