Default Pilot Mtn crawl Saturday Dec 12th

Looking to do a bit of crawling at Pilot Mtn state park on Saturday December 12th.
Nothing serious, just some trail crawling and maybe a gate or two for fun.
Weather looks great so post up if you're interested and we can work out a time to meet up.

Yea we are heading up to Virginia for a comp on the 13th so if we can hit this on the way and hangout and crawl, it would be nice.

I'll be there.. Maby we can get started a little earlier than we did on the last Sunday run up there? But what ever is cool. "At least I won't have to worry about those crappy batteries this time"LoL... Oh and I got the gears in, motor swapped and tested it today.. Works great.. I may stick the 55 turn in for a test run but I'm liking the 27 turn a lot better than the stock 20. Oh also trimmed front bumper and started the "fast back" mod on my wraith.

What time did you have in mind? I didn't want to post a time until I got a feel for what worked for everyone. I'm good for pretty much all day.

I'm good for pretty much all day myself. I'm voting for getting started sometime that morning. Maby 10:00ish?? Then maby we break for lunch if y'all wanna pack something? That's what I'll do. But I'll go with the flow. So let's see what everybody wants to do. So I guess I'm saying y'all name a time and I'll be there weather it's 7:00 am that morning or 1:00 that afternoon. I'm good. Just the more time were there the better to make the most of it..

How is it setup up there? We are either leaving Saturday morning or friday afternoon to head to Virginia for a Toys for Tots comp on Sunday the 13th. Would definitely like to meet up with you guys and do some crawling in another area. Down here in Charleston we dont have too many hills. Mainly homemade trails in creek beds. Other than that its mud and sandy beaches lol. We were just in Spartanburg last weekend for a comp and we are hooked.

I hope you like ROCK!! Pilot Mtn is special in that it's a mountain that stands alone in an area that is mostly "flat land". At the top there are several trails one of which circles the peak of the mountain. On this trail you'll find trail riding, mild rock, and serious rock. Lots of lines to be made. The trail is roughly 2mi and could take anywhere from a couple of hours to all day to crawl depending how many of numerous rocks you want to crawl. Good size parking lot and restrooms at the trail head. Oh, and the view a'int to bad either

Looks as if we have about a half a dozen people so far. Let's say meet in the upper parking lot about 10:00 am. Post up if this works-or even if it doesn't work.

It's the very last parking lot at the top of mountain.

Just got a new bomber and would love to come out. Do you think a stock rig can keep up and how many battery packs do y'all usually go through.

I'd love to see one of those!! I think it would do fine. Usually I go through about two 4500mha packs, and that's a lot of crawling. Mind you I'm running a 35 turn, but I use my winch quit a bit. I'll have a couple of extra packs if you get in a bind
