Stone Mtn, Pilot Mtn And anything with State Park are shut down.

I have gone to Hanging rock and Stone Mountain on weekdays to avoid a crowd and have never had problems. Granted I have never ran into a ranger when ive gone crawling. Uwharrie is amazing for scale crawling and you will not get in trouble there. The dickey bell and daniel hill climbs are both fantastic for crawling. These are both on the OHV trails and are easiest accessible by off road vehicle but you can park at the cotton wood or dutch john parking areas and hike to these hills. On top of the OHV trails uwharrie has many hiking trails and forest road 553 runs along a rocky creek with many pull offs for parking.

Funny how they all try to play nice when it's in writing. Park rangers are worse than rent-a-cops most times. All that power over a piece dirt goes right to their heads.
