Default Indoor Course: HobbyTownUSA, Holland, Ohio

As some of you know Clay at HTUSA has been working on an indoor artificial course . He has most of it done and more to in the works. He had it set up today. And plans to have a little Comp next Sat(8/23). Anyone interested is welcome to come out for a bit of fun. By the rules of course.

I also know of a good outdoor spot that I've been playin at right next to where I live. If it's possible to have too much traction, this would be it. it's got so much it gets ya hung up all over the place. Anyone interested in a GTG Post up and we can make it happen some weekend.

Hey thats not too far from me. Is it a full blown crawler course or would it be good for scalers too?

From the looks of the course, it should be good for a scaler. I've only seen it partially built a few weeks ago and it looked pretty cool. Hey Shierkahn, did Clay give you any time as far as this comp getting started? I have plans early afternoon on Sat.

I'm not sure what time exactly But from what I understand it would be early afternoon on Saturday.

I think it could be scaler friendly but, I'm not sure because I haven't seen a scaler crawl in person ...... yet. I know there's alot of lines that would be friendly for about anything at the spot I got next to where I live though, if picked right.

He might have the course set up tomorrow but, I'm not for sure.

So, whom ever wants to come out and have a little fun it's in Spring Meadows Shopping Center, Holland, Ohio 43528. You can mapquest for Airport Hwy. & McCord Rd.

I think I will come up to check it out. I have 4 scalers that I will bring, my comp truck is torn apart right now. I have 2 scalers that can hang with an ok crawler. I guess we will see how they do. What do they charge to run on the course or enter comps.?

If the course looks pretty good I will have to drag some of the NOSTR guys over here some weekend.

I don't think there is gonna be a fee for this run. At least he hasn't said anything to me about it.

I'm not sure if I'm gonna make this one but, I'm gonna try. I have family coming in town and my baby girls baptism to get ready for.

If I don't make the comp I'd probably be able to hit up the spot next door later in the afternoon though. It's just a couple miles from HobbyTownUSA. I'll check back in here tonight after I get off work.

It's in Spring Meadows, In Holland.

Got a hold of Clay tonight, Comp is at 1:00 pm. If ya get there early you can pre-run the layout if ya wish.

I'm pretty sure I'll be able to make it, So I'll see ya guys there.

It's about a 2hr. drive, maybe less depending on the skinny peddle pressure.

I went to the first comp there at HobbyTown USA. I had a great time. The course is pretty good, but still needs a little work. Great for a start tho. I did manage to take first place . Thanks Clay for the prizes. I will try to make it up there for some more comps. I think they have a good thing started there.

I was also there. The turn out wasn't too bad for a first Comp. Too bad some of the guys had to leave before it was over. I couldn't believe the carnage a little coated foam can cause. Now if I can figure out how to keep my nose down on the steep inclines.

I know where the hobby store is but do you have a spot in the area you crawl at. I live in adrian but used to live in toledo and visit my brother there. He took my crawler for a test drive and is hooked. he is trying to get some cash together to get one. Any good spots in toledo/sylvania area for crawling.

my brother lives like 2 minutes from hobbytown on springfiled road.

We were there till about 5:30 or so.

I have a couple spots that I go to might be hittin one of them later today.

There's gonna be a comp every other weekend depending on participation. There's a $3 fee to enter and some "prizes". The course will be set up every weekend though if ya want to go check it out and play a little.
