Seeing as we can't seem to get everyone together. Thought I'd post up and start talking about the summer series here. Thoughts on schedule?
I was thinking something like this as far as locations.

Academy park
Oakes quarry

My place if it's stormy and such.

Just an idea, but let's start at Oakes...cooler time, no shade there...also there is a park in Springfield Tom knows about that has some sweet rocks we could check out. It is called Snyder Park and may be worth a shot.
As far as dates go, let's try to avoid KOG, KNK, and NENC. Most of us I think are going to try to attend these events.

Why does every new comp site have to be an hour and a half drive?? Looks like I'll probably be taking a drive this Saturday...

I was doing regular three hour one way trips! That sucked. Cut into my drinking time.

That was pre COC.

KNK - June 5th, 6th ,7th
NENC - July 10th, 11th, 12th
KOG - July 24th, 25th, 26th
Any other dates to be avoided? I plan to start working on the schedule Friday night.

I got no problem making the drive. I just got spoiled this winter. When all I had to do was wake up and turn the heat on. LOL

Idk... two hour drive for a little crawling? I was thinking something more local. But I've never made it up to MLK yet. So I'll think about it.

i"m going to check out Snyder Park Sunday. to see if its comp worthy or not. let me know if you'd like to meet up there?

So, I went down to Springfield and checked out Snyder park. It's definitely different than any other place we visit. Here are a few pics of what I found.

May 31st Delaware Dam
June 14th Andy's Home Course
June 28th Academy Park
July 19th Dillon Lake
August 2nd Snyder Park
August 16th Alum Creek park/dam/reservoir thingy

That's like a flat Oakes, or some place we used to go that's just south of Broad street in Cols in a not so great neighborhood.

At first I wasn't sure. but I think it will be a good spot.
Do you remember on what street south of broad?

South Nelson Road sounds right. Park on the east side in a parking lot, and head towards Alum Creek and we'd play on a mini Oakes.

That's academy park. We still make it out there once or twice a year. Knock down some brush and hey look at all these lovely rocks.
