Yup to a certain extent! Createx and faskolor are alike true!, but different chemical agents, Some of the Createx colors when dry peal back up. You can find this most evident in the Opaque colors.

Pactra? I thought you said faskolor!

Anyways, If its some of the Faskolor paints. If you contact Parma/PSE and let them know you got a bad batch, they will take care of you.

well even though charlie is an amazing artist when it comes to faskolor/createx (its all water based crap the only diffrence is one has an adhesion promoter for lexan) he still uses alot of hok and spaz and anything else that works for him

i was thinking of crosseyedair.com (i think) (blake mcully)

check out his work and you'll see what faskolor can do... and this is also evidence that its not the painter but the artist... however the trained eye can see a diffrence in color quality compaired to diffrent paints... its just that blake makes the stuff look so bad ass its scary

I know who your taling about! Blake uses Auto air. A little bit different once again. made more for outside use even though I know some airbrush artists use it for lexan and again has a different adhersion component.

But arent we talking about RC paint anyways. I can pull oof just about the same effect and or colors with Cretex & faskolor as with some one with HOK, or Spaz. Though those are nice to use and excellent when it comes to flow and go. The real thing that I hate for the most part is the clean up. Im sorry taking a $300.00 brush and throwing it through its motions isnt my idea of fun. Expesially even after sending it in to get reconditioned. That brush still doesnt run the same.

I will say that yes, I cant get some of the marbleing effects or the True fire look with a water based paint. To be honest I am about 1000% sick of fire. Everyone is doing it and its becoming overkill. And yes, Waterbased paints will never put out a chrome effect.

But its easy to say you dont like something if you never try to understand it and how it works. Ill tell ya this much though, if a customer wants me to use HOK or Spaz. Its never a problem for me to use it. I just charge more. and for 85% of the shells out there being painted end up getting wrecked the first day at the track anyways. JMO.

By the way, I respect what ya say and understand you on it.
And for the record. Charlie isnt the only guy on that site. Its a site for all airbrush painters.

Funny you should say that. That's one of the reasons I've been holding off on getting my body for the Baja painted. I wanted green flames, but you see them everywhere.

Hehe, yup. That's another reason I have a hard time spending a lot of time on a body when I specifically know it is going to get wrecked almost immediately.
