You need to "rust up" those axles as well, it's really looking good. NICE WORK! |

Not really adding anything other than to say that's an incredible paint job. The body looks like it was sitting out in a field rusting away for the past 40 years. Reminds me of my first car !

The paint job is amazing. It looks almost like a real junker. I'd love a body like that. The realism is amazing.... I like the idea of a jeepers creepers theme.

Looks just like a lot of redneck rigs, new wheels an a rustbucket. The only suggestion I would make is maybe make the bumpers look a little different from the truck. Awesome paint skills! |

Love it! I'd say maybe three of those white Landies Classic wheels (all rusted up of course) and one Tamiya hummer wheel, nothing says junker like stuff that doesn't match. Definitely watching this one! |

Wow, I can't believe the great response to this thread, thanks for the kind words. Well it's not all great news, I've become bored doing the shell, probably because I'm after an E-maxx to convert so the AX10 is history. Seeing as there's been so much positive interest, I will put together a complete guide on junk yard rusting a body shell. You'll be surprised how easy it is.... Thanks again Neil. |

Acrylic red oxide plastic primer, ordinary grey primer, some matt black, a splash of metallic orange. All mixed up creating various shades of yuck. And one of those elchepo airbrushes off of ebay for about $20. That's about £15 in real money. | |
