| Steampunk Hardline for JustinThyme
Hey Guys, Working on Steampunk R2 for JustinThyme. Layed down the gold and silver (Spazstix Chrome). Looks like this right now, !EDIT! Finished pics on page 2. It will look something like this when it's done. Except it will be done with all paint instead of leafing. Thread for the First Steampunk Hardline I made for myself using Gold, Silver, and Copper leafing. Last edited by BC-Brian; 03-20-2011 at 08:03 PM. |

Thanks Man, Work is putting up a good fight against my progress Love it when the boss orders six figures worth of lab equipment and has it delivered while he is on vacation in Cancun Hoping to lay down the copper tonight. |

Damn, I'm pretty much in love with the steam punk bodies you're making. I absolutely love the first one though with the gold and silver leaf...super unique.

| Thanks
Thanks 53Guy, Justin wanted to do an all paint version. They both ave their pluses and mines. The leafing is unique and has a great look to it, while the painted version is a lot cleaner looking because it is all masked and painted. MNRockcrawler, I use a sharpie paint pen that I got from Michaels. They work pretty good, just be careful when first using it cause they can sometimes leak. You don't want a big black drip in the middle of your body. |

Cool! As a thought, how do you think it would look with a dark blue in place of the dark red? Just trying to imagine it. |

| Dark Blue
I think a dark blue would work well. Almost any contrasting color would look good, Blue, Red, Purple, Green. You would just want to stay away from yellows, oranges, and browns. They would blend in too much and it would loose some of its "pop".
