Default prepping a Wraith body for paint

I just finished looking through the photo archives post and I'm REALLY impressed with how much difference some paint makes to the way the Wraith looks. I'm not crazy about all the Axial sticker crap, and was planning on waiting until they brought out a clear body kit to change the colors.
Now, I'm motivated to do it sooner, but I'm curious how you guys have prepped the kit body for paint? Any special tricks for getting all the stickers off?
thanks in advance!

A Hair dryer will warm the stickers adhesive enough to peel them WITH the adhesive still on the decal with little to none left on the panels, not too hot though,,,or you'll have built in rock damage lol

Tried this and it works for the stickers on the outside but is there a way to remove the main graphics that covers the whole body? Tried heat till plastic got flimsy and still nothing.

X2, i used gray scotch brite to scuff then shot it with gloss blue krylon fusion paint, then left it alone for about 3 days to make sure it was fully dried.

Sorry for the stupid question....but don't you take the original skin off totally before painting ?? You don't just scuff it up with the scotch brite do you?
I've tried to peel it off a little, doesn't seem to want to do that easily

I tried to remove the stock graphics too and they don't come off. I just took the decal stickers off, cleaned it up and painted with rattle can.

Can i use normal rattle can spray paint or does it have to be lexan paint?
I first attempted laying down a coat of primer let it dry then a coat of normal rattle can paint and i let it dry and the paint didn't stick... So if i go about it this time scuffing it up, primer then paint it should work ?

Spray a coat of rc lexan paint on the outside, then you should be able to use the other paint on top of that. The lexan paint sticks better for the basecoat.

I've used the Krylon Fusion before on dirt bike plastics, worked great. Planning on using it on my Wraith, glad to know it's tried and true for that use also.
