Get some polystyrene and cut some little plugs to fill the holes. Then sand it flush. Only do touch ups with body filler.

i agree, and use it quite sparingly. i tried using the green putty made by MMD, but after looking at the job i did with it last year it's starting to sink a little.

now i use shaved styrene and styrene dust mixed with tenax7 as my putty.

I've taped holes from behind and filled holes with 2 part epoxy as always had some in shop. Works well for repairs too.

As pardonmynoob said, plug the hole with a small piece of styrene then skim it with filler. I use autobody two part putty. Its similar to bondo, but used only as a final skim coat. It sands really easy, sticks really well to styrene and doesn't sink

I did this method last night. Never worked with styrene before other than gluing the back of my hilux cab. I used .040"/1.0mm styrene sheet and cut out little circles. I made the fit tight by starting large and slowly trimming away the diameter until they were a tight fit. I used 2 circles per hole and when the top was pretty flush it left a minor inset under the hood. It was pretty simple really. I filled the stock body mount hole in the center and two holes drilled by the previous owner.

I did some light sanding with some pretty rough sand paper and plan to go back and put a skiff of bondo/filler before doing the real sanding.

Here's some pics

Under the hood:

I used bondo on the side and top of the hood, would of came out better if I was more careful and worked it more.
