| WRAITH PANEL IDEA! - What can I do to make this work?
This may or may not be a good idea, but I'm gonna try it anyway... I NEED YOUR ADVICE ON THE BEST POSSIBLE PREP/STEPS TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESS, OR AT LEAST SOMEWHAT PULL IT OFF. Here's the plan: 1-Firmly grasp the wraith panels. 2-Shoot the back (inside) of the panels with a Tamiya synthetic lacquer. One of the military ones like these: Tamiya America - Tamiya Color Spray AS 3-Shoot the front (outside) of the panels with Testors Dullcote to achieve a FLAT, Non-glossy look. Details can be seen here: Testors » Clears, Thinners & More » Clears » Enamel Paints » Dullcote Lacquer - 3 oz. Spray Can Do lacquer and lexan get along? What side effects may occur? How can I promote good adhesion? I really want to have a feasible plan for this because I love the Tamiya line of Aircraft/Military paints. And I definitely want a flat, gloss free look. I gladly welcome all advice on this. Thanks. - Jared |
