| Foil/chrome body accents? specifically I'm thinking of the outlines around the hilux grill, door handles/trim, window trim, etc. I've heard of two tricks to trimming this out and wanted to see if I can get more info. first trick is a silver sharpie...pretty self explanatory. second is using foil but I know nothing about that or how it's done cleanly without leaving foil all over the place. Anyone have any detailed tips or a how-to?? |

Besides the obvious hand painting it with model paint I've heard of people using a Silver Leafing Pen but I've never done it myself. From the description it seems like it would work pretty good. There's also the Enamel Paint Marker but that looks to be slightly less shiny or chrome-ish. It is however made specifically for painting models. Maybe give them both a try and let us all know how well they work, could make fine detail work much easier than hand painting. |

The silver leafing works good. Do yourself a favor and get a bottle of the leafing glue and apply with small brush. The pen is more expensive and is not fine enough to do much at all. Another option is to mask the area off and spray with Spazstix chrome. |
