Default Paint question

Im wanting to finish up my jeep body by painting to the top an flares on the outside.

What are you guys using for that..... i have heard a few different things such as plastic trim dye or like model car paint

If you're going for flat black you can spray the outside with lexan paint and go over it with a flat black like Krylon. you can also use a flat clear on the outside to make it appear more dull.

Who's flat clear are you using? Tamiya discontinued thiers.


Something that also works well on exterior parts is the krylon fusion. It works really well on plastics.

I used Tamiyas...I didn't know it has been disco'd

On my Jeep I painted the outside of the top and fender flares with Pactra Outlaw Black and then painted over it with Rust Oleum Textured Finish Spray Paint Black No. 7220-830

The paint has a slight texture to it so it comes out looking pretty close the to top and fenders on a 1:1 scale JK.
