Only had enough $$ for one today so I picked up a Blue JK. I think I will get a black Chevy next paycheck.

I've looked for the Chevy, but can't find any. I did however scoop up a few JK's at the Douglasville Wal-mart. I think Austell may have some too.

I checked the two wally worlds here and they still didn't have any, just the small 1/18th ones.

Bump.

Noticed in the Wal-Mart flyer for this week that they have the 1:8 Jeeps and Silverado's for $79.

Don't suppose someone wants to help out an Aussie that can't get to Walmart?

Will obviously cover the costs and some extra if needed.

Cheers

I wonder why there is such a difference from toy grade bodies to hobby grade bodies. I know weight is a factor, but with scale being so popular right now, why are toy grade bodies still so much more detailed and nicer looking than hobby grade? My Axial jeep looks great, but next to the New Bright jeep body, you'd have to say the New Bright looks more realistic. Is it just the balance between performance vs looks?

It was funny, my 5 year old son was givne a cheap New Bright red Ford truck for Christmas, it's the first RC he's really been excited about, he likes the spiked tires and that it has a functional truck bed. So I was driving my SCX10 JK and he was driving his truck, having fun in the living room. He noticed that his headlights were real, and mine were just stickers, therefore his truck was better than mine. He's so cute.

But it made me wonder about that. Should I want a New Bright body? Am I missing something? I can't afford multiple SCX10s and I can only run one body at a time and I don't plan on building a custom chassis because I lack the time, tools, and skills, but at the same time, I want the best looking truck possible.

I can tell you exactly why. You can get alot more detail in ABS plastic than you can with lexan.

But ABS is heavier? Less durable? Or more expensive to produce?

More expensive yes, vacuum formed lexan is cheaper and more forgiving than injection molded hard bodies.

Where do you think I started looking for these bodies?
On ebay there is one Jeep Rubicon for 200 and some stuff from rc-recycler. Thatīs it.
Not a single Silverado.

Unless you can find a local store with these , be ready to shell out 200$ for a mere body.
people buy these just so they can sell on eBay pretty much the same as iphones and PlayStation on launch day

$200 is what people are charging right now if you want one thats what your gonna have to pay even though I wouldn't pay that much but then again alot easier to find one here.
