| best styrene thickness for building?
Hi, I was going to start to build some interior on my scx10 honcho, but I wonder what the best thickness to use on the styrene is when you build? Should I use .080" (2mm) or thicker/thinner? |

i use .60, but i agree anything in that range is perfect, you want it thick enough to get a good strong bond. too thin and it will be harder to keep straight/flat as well.

Kinda depends on what you are using the styrene for. I keep 0.020" - 0.080" on hand. Depends on if I need to be able to bend the piece or not. Or if I need the structural strength. But for an interior like others mentioned 0.040" or 0.060" will work. Depends on if you need to bolt, glue or attach other parts/pieces/stuff to it. I said depends alot. |

thanks for the advices I saw a clip with some easy how-to with styrene and I saw that they used ambroid PRO weld to glue the pieces together. It looked really easy to use this "glue", is their any cons with this or is there something much better? |

Just ordered some 0.040 and 0.060 from RPP Hobby with the rest of my order to try to make a back wall to a cab.
