Default Mixed up my paints!

Got a used Clod body that was painted metallic blue by the previous owner, which I wanted to change to black.

Unfortunately, I mixed up my rattlecans and painted it black with Tamiya polycarbonate paint (PS-5).

Oops. It's drying dull, will I be OK to just paint over it with regular Tamiya paint, or would I be best off priming it first? My end result is (supposed to be) Tamiya semi-gloss black (satin black), and I'm hoping I haven't screwed myself into buying a new body....

Thanks in advance.

I'd leave it dull make it look like primer, but i'm sure a light fine sanding and repaint the color you want...Or light sanding and apply the satin black..

Polycarbonate paint is an acrylic paint, it may react differently with an enamel or lacquer, best to fine sand, prime with same type of paint you're going to finish with, then finish color.

Thanks, that's the plan that I settled on, but it's good to hear a concurring opinion.

Pay attention next time Val......

I use dull coats formulated for plastic on Polycarb paint all the time. I don't see why paint would be any different. Why don't you shoot a test piece I have a strong feeling it won't be a problem.
