Default Defender 90 Window Edge Painting

I'm awaiting a Defender 90 body in the post but was wondering how fellow members have painted the edges of the windows black . I'm guessing make your own window mask's from a blank sheet or is there an easier method?

I'm not exactly the steadiest of hand

Thanks for reading

You don't need a steady hand, just mask it up with a thin line tape and paint away. Tamiya makes some excellent thin line masking tape in different widths as well as tape for curved areas. This will give you really sharp lines and enable you to paint the smallest of details. Take a look at this video.

That's exactly what I was looking for thank you. I was thinking by steady hand which is something I don't have. Really appreciate you're very informative reply, Now off to the local hobby shop for the masking tape and more black paint.

I've seen Tamiya do a Rubber black which I used on my front grill think I'll use the same on the surrounds too
