| Ascender Cage
Has anyone here mounted an Ascender cage or even a honcho cage to the back of the Proline 66 C10 body? If so would you mind posting up a couple pics please..

Check out this thread for the previous discussion on the '66 Ford, which Proline basically made as the companion vehicle - measurements are very close: '72 K10 body vs '66 F100 (Late edit) I believe the main issue is that the Ascender cage is wide and low compared to the SCX10 Honcho cage... making the roofline of the Proline cabs notably higher than the top of the cage from the Ascender. Bummer, really... Us Ascender guys want more options! 'Course, you could always perform the old hotrodders trick of "channeling" the body, which I think may work wonders on that new '46 Dodge Power Wagon... I'm currently reluctant to drop $55+ to find out it doesn't work, after hacking it up! Last edited by durok; 01-05-2018 at 05:56 PM. |
