For that price, I would expect quite a bit more...

With a official licensing it would look better but without that we get what we get.

I still think it'd be a good option for a Telluride, since that's not a serious scale platform, anyway. It'd essentially give it a rock buggy kinda setup, like the old Deadbolt.

I've thought that too, may have to look into a Bandit arm conversion to narrow it up, or at least flip the rear arms with a old, first gen 4-Tec shock bushings to take care of any wheelbase variations.

I'm liking this body, it's growing on me!

Anybody running this body yet? I have searched google images and YouTube for more pics but can't find any, other than the proline promotional images.

I have one on order from rpp. I think with the right TLC I can make a pretty cool first gen scout out of it.

I bought one this weekend. They look better in person than they do in Pro-Line's pictures. The color they chose for the promotional photos should have been darker. I think a 3D printed grill will really improve the look too.

The interior is a bit more detailed than it looks in their photos too. I THINK it will qualify for 3D vs a "cover" so it should be worth more scale points and since the floorpans are not super low like the Bronco, it should be easy to place electronics under it. It wont be possible to get a 5.5" full figure in the seats, but torso up should be doable...Maybe knees up.

The interior is awesome. They did a helluva job there, but ignored the exterior. A molded grille should have been included.

Can you post a pic of the grill area? I think this is going to end up on my Venture chassis. I’m not a huge fan of the FJ cruiser anyway.

This body is just begging for a 3D printed grille.

I have some ideas. My body should be arriving today. Going to try to model it after the 1970 scout front end.

Edit: sent a message to RC Nerds on shapeways.

Got it mounted on the Venture chassis. Seems to fit pretty good and I think it will take a 4.75" tire.

Thanks for posting that. Man! The only thing that's been holding me back is that I've already got a Pro-line '66 Bronco body(for the Deadbolt/G6 12" wb), and they look so much alike that it would seem like a redundant purchase. I also recently bought a new Deadbolt II, and that body is also similar. On the other hand, Pro-Line has a 15% site-wide Memorial Day sale. Maybe this is what is needed, though, to promote the Venture platform, since most of what is seen in social media, until now, is the stock FJ body. I'm ok with the FJ body, but...it looks like everyone else's.

Thanks for posting those photos! So the grille does have some details up front. In the advertisement photos it looks like a completely flat front end, to me, with stickers on it.

So the body looks better than I realized. Still, a hard plastic grill would have been preferred. Proline needs to stop relying on Knight Customs/RC Nerds and do their own engineering and manufacturing.

Painted product for your guys' data banks. I think it can be made to look pretty good.

^^^ Nicely done, Sir!

Where'd you score the International Harvester hood badge decal?

Haha, that's paint. So are the gauges. There are no stickers on that body.

Holy Mackerel, my man!

Your only mistake here is that you may not be prepared for people requesting that you paint up a body for them...

(for example, I was also going to ask where the Proline logo went on the grille "sticker" - but you just answered that question!)
