Default Hard body mounting with boatsides?

I'm getting ready to work on the mounting of my Blackfoot body. I know for the front I'm going to have a plate and Velcro. For the back/sides I'm think boatsides since its a cab now and going to have a flatbed.

I have couple different materials I can use for the boat sides. I have some thin 4"x5" sheet metal shingles, some aluminum sheet that .025 maybe .019 think and 22gauge steel sheet metal. Not sure what to use? Also should I mount them on the inside of the rockers with a screw through the body in the the metal?, on the outside going in to the body? Or have it wrap around the mounting edge with metal on both sides and secure it that way?

I've seen it all three ways just not sure which would be best. Hoping some experienced builders can lend some insight.

I played with the sheet metal shingles and made a very rough boatside slider. By the way they are 5"x8" not 4"x5" like I said before. Still unsure if I should mount them inside or out side of the body. I'm leaning to the outside a little since my rough one was made to fit the inside. I think ill used my dermal to cut them out as well the tin snips I used made things look hacked.

After a little research and re-reading some posts I realized I used the wrong terminology I'm looking for sliders made out of flat sheet metal that will double for mounting area for electronics. Not boatsides don't plan on cutting up the cab anymore.

I know what you mean. I have a set on my ascender that CODYBOY made.
Want me to snap some pics for ya? It looks simple enough to make a set. One or two bends, drill a couple holes and presto! I hit mine with bedliner on the sides that are bent up front in the fenderwell and a small lip outside the body along the bottom of the doors.
Then shot the whole things with flat black.

Great spot for mounting electronics with Velcro!
