I am likely to be in the minority here, but I dislike driver figures in general, either factory or aftermarket.

They are never quite right (to me), and even though I struggle to reconcile myself to the lack of realism when a RC vehicle is being driven without one, I still prefer it...

Maybe that should be my excuse for the "limo tint" job I did on my Ascender?

I won't be using interiors on my Bombers, either - and I suppose that'll be harder to hide on the caged one... not so much on the one with a Lexan bodyshell.

The cage being low isn't something I really notice as much, but unfortunately all plastic tubing is oversized to prevent it from being too delicate when crashing.

It's better looking than the DeadBolt cage.

Again, if I had either body I would put either a hardtop or a soft-top on them.

Or maybe get a metal custom cage?

The driver figures take me back to my childhood. They were always the finishing touch on the three Tamiya kits I built back then. I am still partial to those original moods they have been filling since the 80’s

It's an ok body with some good details, but that horrible excuse for an interior is an epic failure. Seriously. Seriously??

The interior could be excused as an afterthought if they were planning a Wraith 2.0 cage for this body to eventually drop on to. The dissapointing part is the back end where they should have made a molded piece for the tailgate/tail lights. That could have been a flagship body if it had received proper treatment.

Agreed.

To be more period correct for the cage, I'd prefer a partial like was typical then:

I understand the full cage is more appealing from a dedicated off road perspective, but with all the other nice exterior details and lack of a top I just think it would look more appropriate.

Pre-ordered - will get the first one in at my LHS - Ultimate in Orange.
My first scx10 to boot.

I’ sure its the same cage as my axial rubicon on my ascender. And i got a free bikini top at the Proline event.

I love that place. They've been around forever. So glad they're still around too.

And better prices than online retailers. Kits and RTR's are generally 5-10% off MSRP, which is a far sight better than the comp. Now that e-tailers have to collect sales tax it really levels the playing field. Tower was going to be about $15 more all in.

If they don't have it on the shelf they'll order what you want. I've spent a LOT of money there.

I'll get a side by side with my Ascender/Axial Rubicon and the new Blazer...
Here's the Rubi:
