Yes. Once the courses open they will remain open all winter. The plan is to remodeling early summer to make things nicer at that point. Our goal for right now is to get it done right and get it open so that there is an indoor place for the winter. Thanks Doc |

Things are taking shape! The rocks are slowly going from outside to in the building so we can clean them up! We have a lot of ideas on things to do. We are looking at having some events scheduled here soon to include but not be limited to: Club comp: I think it would be interesting to have the clubs come together for some friendly and fun competition. This is a great way to meet new people and get new ideas. Rock crawl and rock race: We are looking into a King of the hammers type race in march or April. This will be setup to mix racing and rock crawling on the same course. Tough truck course: Had a lot of people ask about a tough ruck course so that is something that we are working on scale and crawler comps, Looking at doing a series of comps for scalers as well as comp rigs 24 hour crawl: 24hour crawl would be just that, we would do various prizes and door prizes maybe some limited visibility crawling or black light crawling? Ipod nights, Bring your ipod to play music for a selected amount of time If you have an idea for something that you would like to see let me know, we are looking for ideas!! Be looking for a early November opening date if all keeps going well. Thanks Doc www.rcrochouse.com |

Sounds like a nice list of crawls. 24hr one might get a little challenging. Would you guy make normal days like a open where someone can pay or what ever to just run the coarse for a few hours or so and just special events every once in awhile. It might be really cool to crawl in snow and ice that will make things really interesting. Keep up the good work and the updates i will have to come down and check the place out once you guys open up. Paul |

Right now we are going to be open all week. Weekends will have the special events but they will also be spaced out. We are going to try to get a calender up on the website in the near future. Thanks Doc |

Thanks for the support guys! Just got back from being down there and getting more done. Things are moving along well. Last night we had a few local guys come out and take a look and got some of their thoughts on what we should and should not do. Hoping to have a basic layout done over the weekend and have all the things we dont want in there out. Next week we will be moving all the rocks in (there is only a small amount in there now), then from wed to Sunday we are going to be doing the concrete work. Still alot of work to be done but looks like a November opening with a spring grand opening will happen. I will be updating the website and doing some work with the facebook page over the next few days (I have fallen behind with both). They will be kept up to date from now on and have more information on them. Thanks Doc www.rcrockhouse.com |

Going to start pouring concrete over the framed structures on Monday. I forgot my camera this weekend and ended up having to borrow some one else so waiting on pictures (should be here soon). Found some minature trees for the scale part of the course (should make good winch points). Thanks Doc |

Thanks for the offer. At this point we are still looking at a November open date. What we are going to try to do is have a "trial" day at some point soon and have some volunteers come down and try out some of the stuff we are doing. Then open in Nov for the winter and spring then take eveyones input, tear everything down and redo it. Also look for a "trail truck" comp some time in Nov. Its going to be a run what you brung type thing just for fun (but with prizes). We are doing the King of the hammers type race, we are looking at dates, rules and such now with the goal of having a qualafying race in April and the actual race in May. Thanks Doc |

October 28th we are looking at having an open house type event. We don't have everything built at this point and have been working on moving stuff around as well. but we want input from everyone, how the courses are and what we can change before we open in November. If you can make it on the 28th please let me know either on here or email me ( doc@rcrockhouse.com). We are looking at meeting at around 6pm and hanging around for a couple of hours (maybe do pizza?). There will be plenty of stuff to drive on so bring scalers and comp rigs. Thanks Doc www.rcrockhouse.com |
