| Pinion Question for losi 1:24 rally car
I think my next purchase will be this rally car and im wondering will i have to get a new pinion gear. it will be upgraded to a 10250kv brushless motor which is knock your socks off fast even better with a 2s lipo. will i need a new pinior with more teeth? and can someone give me a dumbed down version of what a pinion does and what the different teeth mean?

Smaller pinion + larger spur = more torque/acceleration.. larger pinion + smaller spur = more top-end speed You should get the brass pinions sold by The Toyz..the stock pinions will melt right off.. |

everything you need for your micro rally. I recommend the x10a esc and a 7050kv motor, brass pinions, and if you have the time/money get the Scheer Design Chassis (when it is in stock) Black Star Hobbies, Let's Race! Cheers baconC |

| Re: Pinion Question for losi 1:24 rally car yeah that is true. plus i found a link on amazon.com with the losi 1:24 rally car with a 8750kv motor and 2.4ghz transmitter for $150. i might as well just do that since it would be cheaper to do it that way. like i said im just getting back into the hobby. i will surely put more money into something on a different rc i feel like getting.

Just buy the brushless rally car that is RTR. It took a lot of tweaking to get my converted brushed rally to handle the speed and heat. For an extra fifty bucks, you are brushless, 2.4ghz and ready to rock! This is my first version. I also bought a brushless RTR and IMHO that is the way to go. Definitely get 2s and brass pinions as mentioned above . (note: The large Lipo was temporary. I bought some Tunrigy 500mah I run now. Tons of fun!) |

your car looks like a beast! i'm just going to stick with the 7.4V 250mAh battery. I don't really want to do any modifications to the car, at least not yet.
