I would add some gears to the diffs. If the VE is the same as the nitro car they only put two gears in the diffs, I read around a bit and a lot of people recommend putting two more gears in all the diffs. After that I filled the diffs with different oils.

Check out my build thread.

Edit:
Here is a photo of what I am talking about.

See how there are four gears in there? The cars only come with two. Unless of course the VE they decided to put four in there... I doubt it though.

My car should be coming in shortly...
Would you have the part no....

Also how are the stock shocks, I was wondering if the optional spirngs
would be needed.

KYO97001
KYOVZ012
KYOVS001-01

The last one is gaskets so maybe not needed if you are sticking with grease. The shocks seem fine to me so far. I could see testing new springs but it really depends on where you are driving.

Have not locked any of the diffs before RPMJ and I are still running this oil set up:
"Currently we are both running 7k in the front diff, 10k in the center diff and 10k in the rear diff".

In loose conditions the car wants to loop on it self a little bit. I am going to try 7k in the center as soon as I get time to change it out.

Its tough though, in hard pack conditions and heavy gravel this combo works pretty good, we will just have to see if we can find a good all around set up.

Well the car had it's maiden voyage this mornig! I had a blast, very pleased with my decision to get one!

Noob quik notes: Ready Set radio...not so good, decent adjustments but terrible range, quit working from homeplate to 2nd base on a ball field that I was running on, no biggie I'm a Spektrum guy anyways......stock servo needs to go but that's a given with a RTR, right?

Motor/ speed combo pretty good IMO......dust cover did a good job keeping things somewhat clean underneath. The body is really nice and the tires seem really, really nice. They leave a little black patch at take off on pavement and sound like the real thing around a corner!

Ran 3- 5000 lipo's thru it. The only bump/jump was pitchers mound but still had a blast throwing dirt around. Can't wait to get on some bumpy irregular terrain to see how it works there. Could not be happier initially though.

All I can say is Thank You to all those that started these Rally threads and to those that kept them going! I would never have been enlightened.

Couple pic's
