Kyosho DRX review at ultimate rc

Just thought I wanted to give you a heads up.
Jang over at ultimate rc has posted some videos of the DRX.
Check it out

Funny though, if you read the comments, quite a few people don't think too much of it, preferring HPI's WR8.

Here, it would seem it's the other way round...
I just know one thing..I love my DRX

It seems that he has been testing the rally cars as if they short course trucks or bashers.

I don't think he'll give it all that great of a review. He tests it on gravel that is way out of scale for the car, and I know he tests the rally cars on short course tracks, neither of which the DRX was designed for.

Really though sounds like the guy doesn't know what he is doing, nor do the people commenting.

Basically that is the special ED program in an inner city school and RCC is the honors program.

Edit: Found the gravel video and that was the worst thing I have every seen. Yeah Ultimate RC!

Ill watch his reviews for information on the car and for the durability testing. But i could care less what his opinion is.

He tends to drive the rally cars as if they are bashers or sc trucks, so that is not a realistic durability test. If you drive it the way it was intended, it is pretty durable.

I feel like he doesn't want to like it. For whatever reason. Too bad really.

Opinions are plenty and help drive evolution forward. What matters though is that there is video footage of the popular rally cars in the same setting. So that everyone can see the cars basic performance in comparison to one another.

Because he clearly has no idea what rally is. That is pretty evident in the locations he took it too. Hell calling that outdoor track "dirt" is like calling the inside of my house the himalayas. Its just not.

What he is doing is like reviewing a screwdriver, but instead of using it to drive screws, he uses it as a pry bar. He then gives the screwdriver a poor review because it didn't pry as well as a pry bar, and complained because the tip of the driver broke. When asked why they reviewed the product the way they did, they say, because that's the way some people will use it. Yes, there are people that will use a screwdriver as a pry bar, but that doesn't mean you should review it that way. He should have at least included some footage of the rally cars being use in the way that they were designed.

Looks like his full review is up. I'm waiting to see him finish all the Rally car reviews and do a comparison. I know some people hate the Jang, but I do like his reviews even if his feelings don't always mirror mine.

The Demon is my fire buddy . If there was a fire in my house and I could only take one RC. It would be my DRX. Jang's reviews are apperciated. As is anybody's that takes the time to do them. Opinions are always welcome.

I thought he was pretty harsh considering how he drove it. The body does take a beating though. After our run on Sunday I had a cracked wheelwell, rear bumper and wing. I"ll just keep shoo gooing it until it's gone and then buy another.

Not so much harsh, more so not suited to his driving style and locale. The way he throws the word "scale" around bugged me. This is probably the most scale rally experience on the market, and for that I'm happy.

People can care less about the car its self compares to the Body.. They see Ken Block and they are like "OMG Ken Block I want!"
