Default GDB Rally Legend

I've had this sprinkled in with other threads, just thought I'd start my own. Let ya'll know what I've done and what I may do.
Also very receptive to any feedback/suggestions.

Here's what I got about 6 wks. ago

I ran it stock with a 2s lipo for a coupe weeks and for some reason the ESC shorted out on me. So I replaced it with a LRP 13.5t brushless system and enjoyed it for about a day and the rear ball diff came apart, literally, when disassembled it bits of plastic were laying in the gear box and when I split the ball diff and couple balls were gone and it was not salvagable. Went on line on got two aluminum ball diffs and regreased with some Team 3six grease and reassembled. Alls good in Western Pa. once again.

I wasn't real happy with the shocks and their dampening qualities so I did a little searching and came up with these: Integy (yeah I know) Aluminum threaded shocks. They come with 3 pistons 1,2 and 3 hole, 2 different length ends and 3 sets of springs.....not bad for 20.00 pr. I opted for longer ends, 2 hole piston, med. gold springs and 40wt oil. Pretty happy after initial 10 min test.

When I ordered the new diffs I talked to Eric out at Rally Legends and he told me that chassis lids are now available and kindly sent one out with my order....nice. Also sent a cool T-shirt, doesn't quite fit but an awesome gesture just the same! The fit of the chassis lids are fantastic, a little velcroe and a barbaric mod for the 2 led harness and we're ready to rock. (reamed 1/2" hole in lid and shoo goo some foam with an "X" slit to slide harness thru)

Yeah, I need to work on that.

Maybe we can get together at Frick and get some shots of all my cars in action....eh?

We could try to do that, sounds like a lot fun.

I just ordered a DRX, won't be here until late next week. I should have just bought one a few weeks ago, because I know I wouldn't be able to resist getting one.

Just a little update on this thing,

The Mini LST shocks worked so good on the XV-01 that I used a pair on the rear of the Fiat and it worked out equally as well. I've had a blast with this thing the last couple weeks but...

The ball diff thing has got me aggrivated a little, smoked the stock one as soon as I went brushless (not crazy...13.5 stock spec w/2s) I upgraded, so I thought, to the aluminum ball diff, the outputs must be the only upgrade. Although it did take 3 battery packs to smoke this one. The balls and retainer they seat in must be poor quality.

Talked to Eric at Rally Legends NA and the gear diffs are on their way to him but not for a couple weeks. I will be switching fr/rr to gear diffs when available, I really like running this thing but need it to be more durable.

He also said a couple more bodies are coming.....can anybody say Audi?

Looking good bob, I might have to invest in one in the future. Last time I tried a new side of the hobby everyone bailed on me.

Awesome!

Those gear diffs should make the car pretty damn solid. I can't wait for the new bodies!
