We've deviated from technical dirt to running 95% tarmac. its technical tarmac racing on the inside of the oval to high speed run around the oval.. the VX01 will turn on a dime compared to the hpi sprint with same servo. Doesn't matter that Im running a 3800 with 23t pinion and friend is running 4500 23t.. if you hit the pvc pipe or a tire during the turn you can lose 1st palce fast! . We have forklift tires with 2 holes in them to fit pvc pipe. they act as Lincoln Log circles to connect the pvc. When i post the picture you ll understand better. I ll try to post a picture of the lay out.. Remember.. its Florida.. everything here is flat! Tarmac is popular. and we included small jumps in it too. The rally track we currently have is too narrow for 1/10 cars.. we end up binding around turns. 1/14 scales have no problem. So far we have 2 sprint2, 1 FF03, 3 vx01 (rally) we had a tc3 and tt01e but they bailed. We dont like European style of racing where its timed and you run next to it. We like the American style of staying in one spot and racing from afar. The european style works great for th 1/14 scales.. but the 1/10's haul ass. |

i like to say Vx01 .. instead of Xv01.. yeah dyslexia runs deep. I have drift tires but you can't jump ramps with drift tires. Rally Blocks for rally cars and street rubber/foam for street cars. Drift tires would be like that ice run you guys did.. perhaps we can try to use them on an other race to see who can control it better I will get pictures to depict it better. Videos are highly impossible. |

I found a video of the Rally course we cut out with the sod cutter about 4 months ago.. Darren is in the video running it with a desert buggy 1/14 or Open Wheel Class. Moparman in back running a sc10b to see about 1/10 scale Its tight for 1/10 but we need to wear down the track some and expand the turns a bit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57h_OMULCgY since this .. we've added a tunnel, a double jump and block offs to change the course easier. Timed events for Open wheel (desert buggy) and closed wheel (rally car) Last edited by jeepgeek2002; 02-05-2015 at 04:45 AM. |

Nice little track. Although a track of that size I'd be standing on a stand and staying put - not running after it |
