Default New bully owner

Just bought a well built bully from ofnajoe. Here are the details:

JP Customs Hellstrom chassis , skid, and bent lower and straight upper links
Holmes Torquemaster ESC
Punk DIG 2+
Hitec 5955TG servo
Bully 2.2 axles (heavies) with 11T & 12T pinons
45T motors
Xirtic inverted servo mount
Xirtic steering linkage
Bowtie rear axle battery mount
JP Concepts Intense Beadlocks
HB Rovers white with Proline 2 stage foams and weight added to fronts
RC4WD mini wheel spacers
Zero threaded aluminum shocks with Traxxas white springs
Proline bug body painted
Parma body mounts
Turnigy 1500 3S lipo 30c


I have never owned a MOA so what do you guys think? is there anything that could be changed or something else i should get?

Looks good. Only thing I would change would change would be the wheels I have those on mine and have started striping out the wheel hexes.

That's sweet looking rig!! Everything sounds preety good to me ...but i'm new at this MOA my self

Nice truck I think there should be a sub forum for cast and machined axles... They're two very different machines

so im assuming the heavies are the cast ones correct. what is the actual weight difference between the 2?

got the car today, looks real nice. but it sits real tall so im going to have tweak it a bit and see what i can do to lower the stance.

give it a run before you twesak it man you'll be suprised i had damn near 3.75 in of ground clearence and could still side hill like a mutha....it aint a shafty cog is alot different

When I got mine I thought it'd flop over easy, but with 3.5 inches of clearance it sidehills as good as my droop shafty does.

you werent joking, i ran one battery on it and allready have one rim striping out.

Yeah I even took a set of Axial wheel hexes and drilled them out to fit the Bullies and they still striped. I filled the wheels with jb weld to see if that will help but I will not know for sure I left the rg at home for now.

trying a different setup. using rc4wd 100mm shocks with soft springs. seems like its going to work good, going to try it out tomorrow.

those scaler shocks are junk!

i ran them. i hated them. with stock springs. soft spring and no springs they all suck.

i even nodded the top caps for revo ends....still sucked.

they look cool tho. like a real like white rocket.

tried it on my back yard rock pile, overall it worked pretty damn good. Taking it out to vasquez next weekend should be able to get a good feel for them then.
